Why We Built a City, Not an App
Most Muslim apps are one building: one product, one purpose, one login of its own.
We built a city instead. A city has many buildings that share roads, water, and light. UmmahCity has many Districts that share one identity and one set of values.
Citizens (that's you, once you join) move between Districts with a single account, called UmmahPass. Giving, jobs, prayer, community, media: one city, all Muslim owned.
Ummah One is the membership that unlocks the whole city, the way a resident's pass unlocks every building on the block.
Before the City, Two Small Shops
Every city starts small. Ours started with two shops. UmmahJobs, a place to find halal work. MuslimTorrents, now Ummah Library, a place to find Islamic media.
MuslimReach, our advertising business, came after. It became the city's main industry, the trade that pays for new roads and new Districts.
UmmahCity grew around what we had already built. Fourteen Districts stand today, and none of them is closing.
